TITLE: STUDENT CONDUCT AND STUDENT COMPLAINTS

PURPOSE

The purpose of this rule is to guide students to where they can learn the standards LBCC expects of how students engage others and how to file a complaint when they believe a member of the campus community has violated the stated expectations.

STATEMENT

The LBCC “Students’ Rights, Responsibilities and Conduct Code,” describes standards of student conduct on any LBCC campus/property or at any LBCC sponsored event. A portion of this document lists violations with which students may be charged and procedures that may be used in charging students with misconduct. Students also may use this policy to file grievances against other students. There is a designated process for students to file a complaint that the college or its employees violated an institutional rule or policy. The document describes processes for appealing various institutional decisions

Administration of the Students’ Rights, Responsibilities and Conduct Code is assigned to the associate dean of student affiars.
