Many of LBCC's healthcare programs are special admissions. This means they have specific application requirements, deadlines, and limited enrollment. They also have post-admission requirements. Here, you can find answers to application questions, student resources, contact info for appointments, and more.

Our advisors are also able to assist students who are completing program prerequisites through LBCC before applying to another institution's healthcare program. Examples include:

LBCC’s healthcare programs vary in competitiveness each year. The Diagnostic Imaging and Nursing fields are very popular. These programs often get more than double the qualified applications than available seats. Other programs, while usually less competitive, also receive more applications than seats. Because of this, you may need to apply more than once to get an admission offer. 

You can apply to more than one healthcare program, but you can only accept one. If you get offers from multiple programs, you must choose one and decline the others. Advisors are available to help you compare your options, understand requirements, and explore different programs and career paths.

Yes. If you want to apply for admission next time, you must reapply during the next application window.

Important note: application criteria may change between cycles. So, it's important to review the updated application guide when it’s available. It's highly recommended to also meet with an advisor to learn about any process changes.

Dorothy offers 30-minute pre-scheduled appointments either in person, on the phone, or on Zoom. Appointment are currently offered Monday through Thursday.
