Accessing Course Content

All fully-online courses will have a Moodle course page even if your instructor chooses not to use Moodle to deliver course content.  Hybrid courses may or may not have a Moodle course shell.  Many face-to-face courses at LBCC include supplemental material on a Moodle course.

How to get started with Moodle

Staff and students now must authenticate their access to Moodle via the Single Sign-On process.

 If you don't see your course(s) in Moodle, it's probably one or more of the following:

  • Your course doesn't use Moodle
  • Your instructor hasn't made your course available to students

SOLUTION: Ask your instructor to use Moodle.

The Student Help Desk (located in the Library) is equipped to assist with Single Sign-On issues. You can also contact the Student Help Desk at student.helpdesk@linnbenton.edu or (541) 917-4647.

When do I Attend Class?

Login the first day of the term to view your courses. Some eLearning courses might use the first meeting for course orientation at LBCC's Albany campus or elsewhere. If you cannot attend a scheduled orientation please contact your instructor.

Internet Access

In order to take advantage of the features and tools within our eLearning technologies, you will need a reliable high-speed (broadband) Internet connection. A wireless connection is NOT recommended for test-taking.

Note: Service drops in your Internet provider's connection to your home may require you to reconnect to your online course; if you experience frequent drops in service, check with your ISP for issues. For security reasons, LBCC Moodle is configured to drop your session after 3 hours of inactivity.
