Welcome to the Faculty Senate web page!
*We are currently recruiting representatives! Email Tristan Striker at email@example.com if you are interested in joining Faculty Senate as a representative for your department or division!
What We Do
The Faculty Senate is a democratic forum where full-time and part-time faculty can participate in college affairs by discussing and formulating recommendations on academic matters. This forum is open to all faculty and any academic issue is open for discussion. Any member can bring an issue to the senate. Once the senate has discussed the issue, we may move to formulate a recommendation that will be brought to Academic Affairs and/or upper administration. The Faculty Senate also discusses and responds to issues raised by the President and Vice President. Finally, the Faculty Senate participates in developing and implementing all matters of academic policy and advises the Administration and the Board on academic issues like curriculum and instruction, program and course evaluation and assessment, and academic standards, to name a few.
