Why Should You Learn a New Language?
Learning another language can give you an advantage when looking for a job and open the door to many career opportunities. Learning another language makes you a better person: Your mind will become more analytical, you will understand other cultures, and you will also gain a new perspective about your own culture. Research has found that studying a second language improves your skills in math and correlates with better scores in English and standardized tests such as the SAT and GRE. Speaking another language will help you to become a citizen of the world and will help you expand your world view. Studying another language allows you to participate more effectively in the global world. Foreign Languages open the door to understanding other points of view, art, music, cuisine, films and any art form. International travel is made easier with every additional language you know. Foreign Language study translates to less prejudice toward people from other cultures. Additionally, studying another language improves your memory and your listening skills, keeps your brain young and it can even delay the onset of diseases such as Alzheimer's, according to research.
