What can I do if I'm not satisfied with my scores?

If you are not satisfied with your placement scores, you have several options

  • Retake the assessment. If you're just a few points away from the next higher course, we recommend doing some refreshing and trying again. There is a $5.00 fee with each additional attempt, but a higher score could save you hundreds of dollars and several months of time.
  • Sign-up for Math Boot Camp to refresh your skills and try for a higher placement.
  • Register for Math Fast Track, which gives you the option of getting through several math courses in just one term.
  • Sign up for one of LBCC's accelerated options in Math or Writing.

I'm satisfied with my scores... what next?

Great! You're ready to register for classes. If you register for a math or writing class, remember that your choices will be limited by your placement scores.
