Scott Schuler & Bruce Morganti
Scott Schuler is a radio personality with KRKT in Albany. He attended LBCC from 1991 to 1992 with a focus on business classes. Mr. Schuler began work at KRKT in 1995 and moved up the ranks to morning show host and program director. Active in the community, Mr. Schuler started the first Baghdad Bait Shop at Camp Liberty in Iraq, rallying KRKT listeners to donate recreational supplies to send to the soldiers in Iraq. He has organized food drives, and leads the Cricket Country Cares for St. Jude Kids Radiothon, volunteers with Show Mercy International, Operation Homefront, and the Oregon Jambore and writes grants and raises funds for the Habitat for Humanity Restore. Over his years of service at KRKT, Scott received six Silver Microphone awards for commercial production, and the Country Radio Broadcaster Small Market Promotion of the Year Award.
Bruce Morganti teaches middle school music, choir, drama and speech in Arizona. He attended LBCC from 1981 to 1984, and went on to earn a bachelor's degree in K-12 music education from Western Oregon University education, and a master's degree in music education from Boston University. Mr. Morganti is active in the local music community, volunteering with community liturgical music, bands and choirs; caroling at local hospitals, nursing homes and care centers; and serving as an organizer for the Katrina Relief Concert. He is an active volunteer with St. Vincent de Paul Society, Public Broadcasting and National Public Radio, and received the Drama Teachers Director of the Year Award, and the Innovation Award for Curriculum Development for his development of a blue's guitar course.
