Our Societies

Heritage Oak Society

The Heritage Oak Society recognizes those friends of LBCC who have included the LBCC Foundation in their estate plans through their will, trust, insurance, or life income gift.

Just as the stately White Oak trees that grace our region have deep roots and provide lasting support to their ecosystem, members of the Heritage Oak Society create a meaningful legacy that nurtures future generations of students. By including LBCC Foundation in your estate plans, you help ensure that quality education remains accessible for years to come.

Your planned gift, regardless of size, makes a profound difference. It can provide scholarships for students facing financial barriers, support innovative programs, enhance campus facilities, or fund other areas meaningful to you.

Benefits of Membership

As a Heritage Oak Society member, you'll receive:

  • Recognition in the LBCC Foundation's annual report (with permission)
  • Invitations to special campus events and celebrations
  • The satisfaction of knowing you're helping to transform lives through education

How to Join

Becoming a member is simple. If you've already included LBCC Foundation in your estate plans, please let us know so we can welcome you to the Heritage Oak Society. If you're considering making a planned gift, our team is available to discuss options that align with your philanthropic goals.

Payroll Contributors

Support the LBCC Foundation through the convenience of automatic payroll deductions. As an LBCC employee, you have a unique opportunity to make a direct impact on student success through regular contributions from your paycheck.

How It Works

Giving through payroll deductions is remarkably simple and effective. Even a modest amount from each paycheck builds over time to create significant support for students facing financial barriers.

Your contribution can help fund:

  • Emergency assistance for students in crisis ($246 average need)
  • Books and supplies for a full term ($430)
  • GED testing fees ($38 per subject)
  • Course fees for a 3-credit class ($487)
  • Specialized program expenses like nursing testing fees ($600) or automotive technology tools ($4,350)

Become a One-Percenter

Join a dedicated group of LBCC employees who commit to donating 1% of their salary to the LBCC Foundation. One-Percenters lead by example, demonstrating their belief in LBCC's mission through meaningful financial support.

As a One-Percenter, you:

  • Make a powerful statement about your commitment to student success
  • Help sustain critical programs and emergency support systems
  • Contribute to the future leaders, innovators, and changemakers at LBCC
  • Join a community of colleagues who share your passion for education

Getting Started

Setting up your payroll contribution takes just a few minutes:

Your regular support, regardless of amount, makes a meaningful difference in students' lives every day.

Monthly Sustainers

Monthly Sustainers form the backbone of ongoing support for LBCC students and programs through their dependable, recurring gifts. By committing to a monthly contribution, these dedicated supporters create a reliable foundation of funding that helps the LBCC Foundation plan effectively for the future.

The Power of Monthly Giving

As a Monthly Sustainer, your consistent support:

  • Provides steady, reliable funding that LBCC can count on year-round
  • Allows you to make a significant impact by spreading your giving throughout the year
  • Helps support immediate needs for students facing unexpected financial challenges
  • Reduces administrative costs, directing more of your gift toward student success
  • Automatically renews each month, making it convenient and hassle-free

How It Works

Becoming a Monthly Sustainer is simple. Choose a monthly gift amount that works for your budget—whether it's $10, $25, $50, or more—and your contribution will be automatically processed each month. You can adjust or pause your giving at any time.

Many Monthly Sustainers find that spreading their support throughout the year makes it easier to make a meaningful impact. For example, a $25 monthly gift adds up to $300 annually, providing critical support for books, supplies, or emergency assistance for students.
