TITLE: INSTITUTIONAL FINANCIAL SUPPORT PROGRAMS FOR STUDENTS
It is the intent of the Board of Education that the college establishes institutional grants, loan programs, and scholarships to maximize educational opportunity and recognize excellence.
The college will work with the community to establish a variety of financial programs that support educational opportunity and completion. In general, the college's financial programs are to be available to all students who meet established criteria.
Financial programs may be designated to address the needs of special populations in order to improve educational attainment. Need based programs are encouraged to use the Federal Financial Aid formula for determining student need as a guideline to ensure fairness and consistency.
The college may establish programs that award financial assistance based on specific talents or service. Students eligible for financial support programs that reward talent or service are to be engaged in unique academic or co-curricular programs.
Institutional financial programs for students will follow established accounting and financial aid procedures.
