Local employers are unable to find employees with the job skills to fill them. At the same time, the unemployment rate in a majority of the LBCC service district is well above the state average. Working directly with area industry, LBCC is doubling its capacity to provide job-training to help fill the gap.

LBCC auto/diesel and health care programs have moved to new facilities, providing the college with an opportunity to modernize and expand several key Career Technical Education programs on its Albany Campus in welding, machine tool, non-destructive testing and mechatronics. These programs are responding directly to industry needs, putting local people to work.

Project allows for renovation current industrial building spaces, classroom modernization and critical maintenance to be addressed on the aging Albany campus.
