Degree & Certificate Options
Becoming an educator is more than passing tests and taking an approved list of classes
— it's about making a difference. LBCC offers two articulated associates degrees for
Elementary Education that prepare you for transfer to Oregon State University. We
also offer the Education Double Degree as well as a transfer path with Western Oregon
University.
Human Development and Family Sciences: Child Development emphasis, Associate of Science
Participants in this program develop a foundation in human development. This pathway prepares you to earn a BA in Human Development and Family Studies and a BA in education at OSU. It also leads to Oregon teacher certification.
In this program, you’ll earn two undergraduate degrees at the same time: one in your chosen field; the other in education. This program is a partnership between the LBCC Education Department and the College of Education at Oregon State University.
“OSU and LBCC are proud to be some of the most seamless partners in Oregon. We have a long history of creating student-centered pathways between our institutions.” —Nell O'Malley, Oregon State University, College of Education, Director of Teacher Licensure
Contact the Education Department or an advisor for more information on the Education Double Degree.
