Degree & Certificate Options

*The Criminal Justice Program at LBCC is no longer accepting new students. Continuing students have the 2023-2024 academic year to complete all Criminal Justice courses needed for the degree. Please get in touch with your advisor or LBCC's Advising Center for guidance on course selection. For new students interested in Criminal Justice careers, an AS or AAOT in Sociology, Psychology, or Communication are strong preparation and sought-after degrees for a career in criminal justice or entry to the Oregon Police Academy.

Criminal Justice, Associate of Applied Science

This degree is designed to assist the Criminal Justice major in acquiring the skills necessary to be successful in the field of corrections, law enforcement, and juvenile corrections.

Transfer to Any Oregon University Criminal Justice Program

Oregon law enforcement agencies face a growing need to replace retiring officers. In addition, the prison industry and areas of law enforcement such as crime analysis are predicted to expand; this degree prepares you to explore those opportunities.

Juvenile Corrections One-year Certificate

This version of the LBCC Criminal Justice Associate of Applied Science (above) is a general course of study that will transfer to any four-year institution in Oregon, including Oregon State University.
