Careers for a religious studies major are traditionally associated with teaching (college or private school) and religious leadership (priest, pastor, or an ecumenical or interfaith position).

Additionally, a minor in this field can be an invaluable addition to almost any field of study or career that deals with people. Graduates often go on to further career training and jobs, in areas such as:
