Most majors at LBCC require you to take a math and a writing class. We'll help you decide which courses will be the best fit for you and your skill level.

Choose the appropriate Math placement for your major (see the Math Placement Flow Chart for a visual guide). Note: some programs have different math requirements. Refer to the specific program for more information.

Statistics Pathway

No placement test is required. All students can register for MTH 105Z and MTH 105Q. See the student advising guide to MTH 105Z and MTH105Q for more information.

Some students are eligible to place directly into STAT 243Z. Talk with an advisor or email mathadvisor@linnbenton.edu for more information.

For this pathway, MTH 111Z is not required. Students in the Elementary Education pathway are required to pass or place out of MTH 95 before taking MTH 211.
