The final practicum experience at Linn-Benton Community College (LBCC) provides the opportunity for students to learn under the guidance of practicing nurses. This one-to-one experience utilizes experienced nurses in the education of students as they become competent, beginning nurses. A vast number of nurses in Linn, Benton, and Marion counties have volunteered to be preceptors or clinical teaching associates (CTAs).
The LBCC nursing faculty thanks all the nurses who have participated in this program, and who have taken the time to give us valuable feedback for improvement. Your patience, dedication to excellence, expertise, and willingness to share your insights continue to enrich the LBCC Associate Degree Nursing Program.
This manual has been developed to be used as a resource for LBCC nursing students and preceptors/CTA-RNs.
To aid in the educational experience of our LBCC Nursing students please review the following manual: Linn-Benton Community College Final Practicum Experience Manual.
Clinical Teaching Associates (CTAs) who indicate a willingness to participate in the student's Final Practicum Experience and collaborate with the Nurse Educator should sign and submit a CTA Agreement to the Nursing Dept.
