The writing lab classes are independent study classes designed for motivated students whose schedule doesn't work with a traditional lecture class. After the initial orientation, students meet with the instructor each week. Materials and a textbook provide the curriculum, and the instructor critiques and grades writing assignments.
The Lebanon Center offers a variety of a variety of writing classes in a traditional lecture format. These classes meet more often through the week and have an instructor who teaches the class. Students who register in a lecture course may also use the Reading/Writing/Study Skills Help Desk in the Learning Center at the Albany campus to study or get extra help.
See the schedule of classes for our latest offerings.
Eligibility to enroll in writing classes is based on completing the appropriate prerequisite with a "C" grade or higher or by achieving an appropriate test score on the Computerized Placement Test (CPT).
