'They Call Me Q' one-woman show

Please join International Programs and Institutional Equity, Diversity & Inclusion for Qurrat Ann Kadwani's performance of They Call Me Q.

Kadwani has won several awards, the show ran Off Broadway in 2014 for 7 months, and she has been interviewed by network and local press. To date, she has performed over 200 times in 36 states.
Kadwani plays 13 diverse characters in one hour, who emphasize themes like independence, assimilation and power, in a funny, yet educational way. This theatrical performance speaks to the cultural conflicts immigrants experience when discovering their human identity and place in society.

"She told a story that everyone needs to hear.  Given the misrepresentation of different people and cultures, it's good to be reminded that different viewpoints matter."
- Kaelyn, Daytona State College

"They Call Me Q is exuberant and welcoming to all students!"
- President Zvi Szafran, SUNY Canton

"Great for the diversity message, self-esteem and self-worth, the issue of immigrants and their contributions to this nation of immigrants and so much more!"
- President Kojo Quartey, Monroe County Community College, Michigan

"Motivational like no other!"
- Ryan, Tennessee State University

"Wow!  Best performance/speaker I have seen on campus to date!"
- Amy, University of Wisconsin Oshkosh
