Linn-Benton Community College to Host an Agricultural Center Community Open House
Linn-Benton Community College is hosting a community open house to discuss the building of its new Agricultural Center on Wednesday, February 15th from 3:00 - 4:30 PM in the Fireside Room (Calapooia Center) on the Albany Campus.
Those in attendance will have the opportunity to share their thoughts with LBCC staff about what they want to see from the Agricultural Center. After the meeting wraps up, anyone who is interested is invited to drive over with the staff to the site where it will eventually be built.
"As the community's college, LBCC proudly provides education for all, and we are excited for the opportunity to put that into action in a way that supports our entire community, from our rural families to our industry partners," said LBCC President Lisa Avery. "The new LBCC Agriculture Education Center is an exciting project, but we can't get it done without the community's ideas and input."
The funding for the Agricultural Center was made possible by an appropriation from the state legislature and a G.O. Bond passed by the citizens of Linn and Benton counties.
