Leslie Hammond

Leslie Hammond, Dean - Student Engagement

Leslie grew up in northern Idaho and has spent most of her adult life in New England. She earned a BA in Theater from College of Idaho and an MFA in Theater Technology from Indiana University. She has worked at Choate Rosemary Hall, Yale University, and came to LB in 2010. Leslie loves figuring out how to make things work better at LBCC. Her interests range from presidential history to space exploration to Broadway musicals. When not at work, Leslie enjoys running, hiking, and attempting to surf. 

Lynne Cox

Lynne Cox, Associate Dean - Student Development

Lynne coordinates counseling, crisis, and students in distress services. She strives to be a bridge to take students from where they are today to their next goal, dream, and to the skills that will take them there. Lynne likes to swim, read, go to the theater, and listen to Country-Western and faith-based music. When she was 17 she lived in Australia and while there, was hugged by a wild mamma kangaroo with a joey in it’s pouch.

Dana Robinson

Dana Robinson, Secretary 3/Reception 

Dana was born and raised in the Midwest and has a background in the printing industry, earning a Technical Certificate in Graphic Arts Production from Madison Area Technical College (Wisconsin). After moving to Oregon and taking some time to raise her daughter, Dana returned to work in the clerical field and has been working at LBCC since 1998. Dana enjoys baking, theater, film, reading, crossword puzzles, and word games.

Rob Camp

Rob CampAdvising and Career Support Specialist 

Rob is the numbers guy! He is responsible for collecting data on how many students are served in the department and how these numbers affect other college-wide data. He earned a Bachelor's in Human Development and Family Sciences in 2014 and a Master's in Education in 2016, both from OSU. His free time is spent following whatever sport is in season and spending time with his family. 

Leah Trice

Leah Trice, Secretary 1/Reception

Leah was born and raised in Portland, OR and moved to Lebanon in 2014. She loves meeting students through the Advising Center and working with them to help them achieve their academic goals. She loves to travel and has two dogs; Sammy a pug, and Ruby an English Bulldog. Leah just graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science degree through the DPP program here at LBCC and OSU. Go BEAVS!

Dionna Camp

Dionna Camp, Secretary 1/Reception

Born and raised in northern Indiana, Dionna moved to Oregon in 2008. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Development and Family Sciences from OSU in 2015. She has worked with students in several departments around LBCC for 9 years. In her free time, she enjoys painting, most crafts, discovering new technology, organizing, and spending time outdoors. 

Kathryn Bond

Kathryn Bond, Secretary 1/Reception

Kathryn was born in South Lake Tahoe, CA, grew up in Missouri, and moved to Oregon in 2000. She graduated from LBCC in June 2017 with an Associates of General Studies and a One-Year Office Specialist Certificate. In her free time, she enjoys reading Anne Rice books, rock-hounding, swimming, camping, hiking, and fishing. 

Angie Klampe

Angie Klampe, Academic Advisor/Counselor

Angie is from Maui, HI and graduated from Oregon State University with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and a Masters of Science in Counseling. She brings a multicultural dimension to her advising and counseling style. She understands the culture shock and transition students experience when coming to college. She enjoys tennis, hiking, walking, yoga, and traveling back to Hawaii as often as she can.

Cait Morgan

Cait MorganAcademic Advisor/Counselor

Cait is an advisor for Campus High School Programs, assisting students who are taking classes at LBCC while working toward a high school diploma. She enjoys supporting students in pursuit of their goals and helping students learn to navigate college. Cait earned a BA in Psychology, BA in English, and MS in Counseling from Oregon State University. In her spare time, Cait loves spending time with her family, reading, cooking, collecting house plants, and learning new things.

Carrie Randall

Carrie Randall, Academic Advisor

Carrie is a native Oregonian but only recently returned to the area after being away for over twenty years. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from the College of Charleston in Charleston, South Carolina and a Master of Liberal Studies degree from Indiana University. She went on to graduate with a Master of Science in Academic Advising from Kansas State University and has worked in advising and student success for fourteen years. Carrie is a passionate advocate for animal welfare.

Charles Madriaga

Charles MadriagaAcademic Advisor/Counselor

Charles was born and raised in the Monterey Bay area in Castroville, California. He graduated with an Associate of Arts degree in General Education at Hartnell Community College. He then completed his Bachelor of Arts degree in Developmental Psychology, a Pupil Personnel Services credential in School Counseling and a Master of Arts degree in Education Counseling all at California State University, Stanislaus. As a College Advisor and Counselor, he enjoys helping others achieve their dreams! Charles is a former natural bodybuilding champion and has received his first degree black belt in Japanese Shotokan Karate.

Christy Stevens

Christy Stevens, Education/Child & Family Studies Faculty 

Christy is a faculty member who teaches education classes for the Education/Child & Family Studies Department and advises students in the Advising Center. When she's not working, Chisty enjoys outdoor activities such as hiking, tidepooling, and flatwater kayaking. 

Ellen Carlson

Ellen Carlson, Education/Child & Family Studies Faculty 

Ellen holds degrees in Psychology and Curriculum & Instruction from the UofO and studied Deaf Education at the University of British Columbia. Her career experiences include counseling at Brandon University, working as a Child Development Specialist, teaching Special Education classes at Columbia Gorge Community College, and most recently, working as an elementary school principal in the Albany School District. During her free time, Ellen enjoys working outside (weather permitting!). 

Emily Dray

Emily Dray, Advising and Career Support Specialist 

As an Advising and Career Support Specialist, Emily loves to help students find majors that fit, discover meaningful employment opportunities, and navigate the college experience to successfully achieve their dreams of graduation. Emily was a student at Linn-Benton Community College before transferring to Oregon State University to earn a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and pursue a Master’s degree. When not assisting students, Emily enjoys volunteering in the local community, reading, trail running, and playing music.

Jan Fraser-Hevlin

Jan Fraser-Hevlin, Academic Advisor/Counselor

Jan did her undergraduate work in Canada, and has a graduate degree in Counseling and Psychology from Oregon State University. She has worked extensively with international students and has a strong interest in providing academic support to Latino students and their families. In recent years, Jan has studied Spanish and loves to work with students who prefer to communicate in this language. She is committed to putting into action LBCC's value of inclusiveness.

Leela Magdaleno

Leela Magdaleno, Academic Advisor 

As an academic advisor, Leela enjoys having the opportunity to help students daily and appreciates the focus that LBCC has on student success. As someone who has found a job that she truly loves, she wants to help as many student as possible find theirs! Leela is a people-person and was drawn to working in higher education because she saw the potential to help people change their lives for the better. Outside of work, Leela enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, cooking, and yoga. 

Lisa Hoogesteger

Lisa HoogestegerAcademic Advisor/Well-Being 

Lisa spends half of her time advising students and the other half working on student well-being, connecting with students across campus to help provide support for individual and community well-being. She loves teaching and advising - when someone wants to learn or explore, she enjoys asking questions, adding skills, and helping others achieve their goals. She has a Bachelors from OSU and a Master of Science from Springfield College in Massachusetts (and changed her major 7 times!). She is a fan of most sports and loves hiking, biking, playing volleyball, and going for walks with her dog in the woods. 

Marci Johnston

Marci Johnston, Advising and Career Support Specialist

As an Advising and Career Support Specialist, Marci enjoys helping students explore careers, get started in college, discover a major and career goal, and then helping them navigate systems to reach their goal and prepare for employment. You can find her doing career assessments, new student orientations, and guest speaking on job search skills.  She has a degree in Business, a desire to help others, and she discovered her dream career here at LBCC - now going on 20 years! In her spare time she spends time with family and friends, doing photography and scrapbooking, wedding planning and enjoys summer activities outdoors including camping, swimming, and water skiing.

Sandra Shinkle

Sandra ShinkleAcademic Advisor/Career Development Faculty 

Sandra has been working at LBCC since 2005. She has a BA in Psychology from CSU Fresno and an MA in Psychology from San Francisco State University. She is an Advisor and teaches Career and Life Planning and Destination Graduation courses. Sandra enjoys riding her horse, fishing, and outdoor recreational activities. 

Tiffany Madriaga

Tiffany MadriagaAcademic Advisor/Counselor 

Tiffany works primarily with students who are undecided, AAOT, and General Studies majors. She graduated from WOU with a BA in Psychology and from OSU with a MS in Counselor Education. Tiffany was a collegiate All-American athlete in volleyball and track and field. She loves watching her kids play sports and plays herself whenever she gets a chance.

Valerie Six

Valerie SixAcademic Advisor/Counselor

Valerie is an Academic Advisor and has worked with students at LBCC in a variety of roles since 2005. Born in Tennessee and raised in Idaho, she moved to Oregon in 1989 and can’t imagine living anywhere else. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Idaho and a Master of Education in Counseling from the College of Idaho. When she is not at work, she enjoys playing her violin with the Willamette Valley Symphony, traveling, gardening, and spending time with her 3 daughters and granddaughter.
