Circulation
If you are an LBCC student or member of the staff, your LBCC ID is your library card. If you are a resident of Linn or Benton counties, you may apply for library privileges.

With LBCC library privileges, you may check out materials, pick up course reserve items & videos for distance education/telecourses, and order & pick up items requested through interlibrary loan.

Loan periods are as follows:
  • books/audio tapes/language CDs - 2 weeks
  • videos/DVDs - staff only - 1 week

    Instruction & Training
    Becoming proficient in the use of the Library and acquiring information competency skills are key aspects of our instruction. Contact a reference librarian at 917-4645 for more information about general introduction tours to library resources and search methods or about sessions tailored to specific instructional needs. A library instruction room is available for classes. Also, personalized reference service is always provided by a librarian at the desk.

    The Gateway at the LBCC Library Reference Center is our interface to library Web services.

    Interlibrary Loan Requests - Reference and Resource Requests
    Materials needed, but not available at the LBCC Library, may be requested from other libraries for you. You must have LBCC library privileges to initiate requests, and you are limited to five requests a week. If you are looking for a journal article, please complete this journal request form. If you are looking for a book, please complete this book request form.

    The Library Information Lab and The Instruction Room
    The Lab and Instruction Room, near the reference desk, both have computers that provide access to the virtual library on the Web. The work stations may be used on a drop-in basis. The interface on each PC helps you zero in on the information you need. Some stations allow email use and word processing. Staff assistance is always available.
