College Level Exam Program (CLEP)
The College Level Examination Program is the most widely accepted credit-by-examination program in the country. Linn-Benton Community College is an open testing site for anyone wishing to take the CLEP exams.
Although LBCC offers all 34 CLEP exams, Admissions and Registration does not accept all CLEP exams for credit at LBCC. For a list of accepted tests, click the following link: CLEP Exams Accepted by LBCC.pdf
Each college and university has their own policies for accepting CLEP credit. You should check with the college or university you will be attending to see what CLEP exams they will accept.
How do I sign up to take a CLEP exam?
Print the CLEP Registration form CLEP Registration. Return the form with the $25.00 registration fee to the Student Assessment office:

After we have received the registration form and the registration fee, you will be contacted to schedule a testing appointment. CLEP exams are administered by computer and an appointment is necessary.
The CLEP testing fee is $72.00 and can be paid by credit card, check or money order payable to CLEP on the day of testing.
