Grammar and Punctuation Help

The LBCC Developmental Studies Department has created an excellent set of grammar aids called Quick Clues. The College Skills Zone (located in the Learning Center) has a complete set of these helpful pamphlets. The friendly staff also provides students with a beautiful workspace, computers, websites, computer programs – and instructional assistance - to work on the grammar and punctuation questions that apply to student’s specific writing questions.

The Writing Center also has on file a selection of the Quick Clues handouts, as well as many grammar textbooks. In addition, each of our computers has interactive grammar and punctuation exercises. As our Writing Assistants work with students, we identify patterns of grammar and punctuation errors and assist students in understanding them.
