Madrone Hall, LBCC's new science building, earned the Leadership in
Energy and Environment Design Silver Certification from the U.S.
Green Building Council for achievements such as recycling and
reusing construction waste, photo-voltaic windows that offset
energy costs, energy efficient heating and cooling system, use of
reflective, low-voc paints, and low-impact landscaping.
