Student Employment/Internship Database

The Student Employment Center staff assists students and alumni in their job search. Any person who has taken a one credit class at LBCC is eligible to use this service. Registering with Student Employment on-line can be done by clicking on the above link.

~ We also provide ~

  • Referrals to part-time, full-time, temporary, career and internship job openings in the Career Center in Takena 101.
  • Current Jobs on the Web for those registered with LBCC Student Employment.
  • Information on preparing an application, cover letter, resume, interviewing, etc.
  • Job outlook information, including local and national trends is available on the Career Information System in the Career Center (Takena 101). Call for an appointment at 917-4780.
  • An instructional software program called Job WORKS that helps students learn a full range of skills needed to conduct a successful job search. It includes information on preparation, data entry, resume, cover letter, interviews, and follow-up.
  • A computerized Career Information System (CIS) that includes in-depth information on:
    1. Occupations and Employment
    2. Education and Training
    3. Exploration tools for careers, schools, and financial aid.
  • Graduate employment statistics for all degree and certificate programs is available in our office.
  • Lists of sites with job openings including those with the Oregon Employment Service, city, county, government agencies, and private employers.
