Intramural Sports
The LBCC Intramural Sports program is dedicated to the concept of providing quality intramural sports opportunities for the campus community. The program is designed to encourage student, staff, and faculty participation in activities that promote healthy, fun activities or competition with a spirit of community and positive team play.
What types of events and activities are available?
The LBCC Intramural Sports program offers different activities to help meet the physical, social, and recreational needs of the LBCC population.
Examples of some different types of activities & events that have been held previously are:
- Fitness Week
- Health Week
- 3X3 Basketball Tournament
- Spring Days
- Trips to various sports related events/activities
Is there a cost to participate?
All LBCC intramural sports activities and events are FREE or provided for a minimal cost.
How do I get involved?
We encourage each and every one of you to participate on a formal or informal basis.
Information regarding current events and activities are available at the Student Life & Leadership Office which is located on the first floor of the Student Union. Current information is also posted on campus bulletin boards.
Formal participation in the LBCC Intramural Sports Program is governed by the Student Programming Board. Each year, during Winter term, students who are interested in formal involvement in the Intramural Sports Program apply for positions on the Student Programming Board. Typicaly each term these positions are filled. Exceptions are made during the year. Click here to see current open positions.

Successful Student Programming Board applicants are appointed by the Dean of Student Services and are awarded tuition grants which vary in amount according to position held.
Students who are interested in applying for Student Programming Board positions must complete and submit an application to the Director of Student Life & Leadership located on the first floor of the Student Union within the deadline dates.
