Latino/Latina Outreach
Purpose
The Latina/Latino Outreach Student Ambassador at Linn-Benton Community College works to increase Latino/a success at Linn-Benton Community College by inviting Latinas and Latinos to participate actively in college life and by offering support, advocacy, and resource referral.
Outreach to Current Students

- Contact new students and current students. Arrange meetings to inform them about rights and benefits they can have
- Provide support and information to ESOL students who are ready to make the transition to credit courses at LBCC
- Ask them what they need and what they want
- Let them know they have someone on the campus that they can talk to
- Visit Spanish GED classes to learn about credit classes at LBCC
