Student Ambassadors
What are Student Ambassadors?
Student Ambassadors are a group of current Linn-Benton Community College students whose main purpose is the positive promotion of Linn-Benton Community College. They work in a variety of college settings and are a vital link between:
- LBCC's Student Body
- Prospective Students and Their Families
- Latino/a Students
- Faculty and Staff
- The Community Members of Linn and Benton Counties
What do the Student Ambassadors do?
Student Ambassadors conduct new student orientation, campus tours, and provide assistance to prospective students through personal telephone contacts and correspondence. They promote student activities, special events, high school visitations, and working with other student organizations to promote the success of LBCC students and the college.
Student Ambassadors are committed to serving their community. They often take student volunteers into the community and provide service. In the past, Ambassadors have helped Habitat for Humanity build a house, served at various soup kitchens in Linn and Benton counties, and hosted Project Pageturner- a literacy event aimed at local children.
