ASG Current Officers

Student Body President ~ Vice President/Center Rep.
Public Relations Secretary ~ Division Representatives

Student Body President:
Position currently held by Hannah Gzik

  • To serve as the spoken and written voice in the capacity of an Executive Officer of the ASG and to model the standards set forth by the ASG
  • To chair all ASG meetings or delegate this responsibility in an absence.
  • To designate students to represent LBCC to positions of alliance, affiliation, and memberships.
  • To be the student representative to College Council and attend those meetings monthly.To be the student representative to the OCCSA and attend those meetings as scheduled.
  • To meet weekly with the SPB Team Coordinator and advisor.
  • To attend a minimum of one leadership training per academic term.
  • To participate in a minimum of 2 service learning leadership credits per year.
  • To take action, after consultation with the ASG advisor during periods of intercession, and to report on such actions to ASG.
  • To maintain and record a minimum of 5 office hours per week in the SL&L office.
  • To maintain a minimum of 8 work hours per week including office hours and meetings.

Student Body Vice President/Center Representative:
Position currently open

  • To monitor and make recommendations regarding the ASLBCC budget.
  • To coordinate student committee assignments.
  • To serve as President pro tempere in absence of the ASG President.
  • To meet weekly with the SPB Team Coordinator and advisor in the absence of the president.
  • To meet with the center directors, (Benton, Lebanon, and Sweet Home) once a week on a rotating basis.
  • To set up (make room reservations, publicize, etc.) all ASG meetings at the centers. (Benton, Lebanon, Sweet Home)
  • to host one student oriented event at each of the centers (Benton, Lebanon, Sweet Home) each term in coordination with SPB Center Representative.

Public Relations Secretary:
Position currently open

  • To post and distribute the ASG meeting agenda 24 hours prior to the meeting
  • To record and distribute ASG meeting minutes within 48 hours of the meeting.
  • To prepare written correspondence related to ASG business.
  • To maintain an efficient working relationship with LBCC publications.
  • To coordinate press coverage for ASG activities and members. (Including student newspaper ads, event flyers, coorespondence etc for all ASG members.)
  • To coordinate mascot appearances and completion of rental contract.
  • To coordinate public relations activities for ASG.
  • To attend one regularly scheduled ASG meeting per week.
  • To serve in the capacity of the Administrative Officer of the ASG.
  • To attend one leadership training per academic term.
  • To participate in a minimum of 2 service learning leadership credits per year.
  • To serve as the student representative on the Academic Affairs Committee.
  • To maintain and record a minimum of 5 office hours per week in the SL&L office.
  • To maintain a minimum of 8 work hours per week including office hours and meetings.

Division Representatives:

  • To submit weekly reports on progress with committees and duties.
  • To serve as a communication link between the division and the ASG.
  • To meet regularly with division dean (s) and department chairs.
  • To serve on at least two college wide committees.
  • To attend each regularly scheduled ASG meeting.
  • To attend a minimum of one leadership training per academic term.
  • communicate regularly with student clubs and organizations in the respective divisions and report activities to ASG.
  • To participate in a minimum of 2 service learning leadership credits per year.
  • To maintain and record a minimum of 3 office hours per week in the SL&L office.
  • To maintain a minimum of 5 work hours per week including office hours and meetings.
