LBCC Public Safety Department strives to provide a safe and secure college environment.
LBCC Public Safety provides:
- 24-hour patrol and protection services
- Personal safety escort services
- Victimization avoidance information
- First aid station
- Jump start battery pack for your use (free of charge)
- Lost and found property returns
Please remember to:
- Lock vehicle and keep all valuables out of sight
- Walk in groups when possible
- Walk in well-lighted areas
- Have keys ready before you arrive at your vehicle
- Don’t look like a victim - walk briskly and with confidence
- Always be aware of your surroundings
- Report all suspicious activity to the Public Safety Office at x4440
- Register your vehicle with the Public Safety Office (free of charge)
Stalking and Dating Violence on College Campuses:
- Nationally, 1 in 8 college women report being stalked in the last 6-9 months. Stalking may include but is not limited to unwanted phones calls, emails, letters, or visits; being watched from afar; having someone waiting for you outside a building or room; being followed; and/or other similar behaviors.
- Nationally, 32% of students report dating violence by a previous partner and 21% by a current partner
