The Xerox DocuTech 135
The DocuTech allows Printing Services to Print on Demand, a process that uses the latest digital printing technology to deliver printed materials faster and less expensively. The main advantage of on demand printing is being able to print what you need when you need it. It ensures that your printed materials are always current.
The DocuTech is connected to the LBCC network, allowing users to send jobs directly to the DocuTech server from their computer, generating a first generation copy that looks great! This process saves both time and money.
The first step is to create a work order. Click here to go to our online work order form. Fill out the form, selecting all options that apply to that specific job. After the form has been completed, double check for accuracy and print a copy. Choose continue on the bottom of the screen and this will send the form to Printing Services. The e-mail address entered on the form is used to send back a receipt to verify we are processing your request.
LBCC users connected to the college's network, can contact Printing to get the printer driver for the DocuTech installed. Once the driver is installed, open the file and select print. Ensure the DocuTech has been selected in the print dialog box and print!
Off-campus users not connected to the college network, may send file attachments via e-mail to Printing Services.
So that our staff may ensure accuracy a sample of the job is always required before production begins. This step helps to prevent errors that occur due to file problems and/or errors.
