Equipment
AV equipment for staff/faculty checkout or permanent classroom use is available through Media Services. Place orders for equipment by phone, e-mail, or by filling out a booking form in person or via our online booking form. Please allow a 24 hour lead time. Equipment is available on a first-come basis.
Available equipment includes overhead and slide projectors, camcorders, video projectors, TVs and VCRs, laser disc player, DVD player, digital cameras, cassette recorders, a portable PA, microphones, multimedia lecterns and portable multimedia carts. Carts are available for campus use only.
Duplication & Taping
High speed and mass quantity duplication is available for the following formats: DVD, CD-ROM, VHS and audio cassette. Please note that duplication of materials is subject to copyright restrictions.
Taping of transmitted programs from local broadcast, cable and satellite stations is available through Media Services. Programs may be previewed up to 30 days before purchase or erasure, TV Guide, Oregon Focus (PBS) and Orbit Satellite schedules are available. Call Cindy Hogan at 541-917-4672.
Multimedia Project Development
Our Multimedia/Web Developers assist in project planning, implementation and development of multimedia and web projects. Services provided include digital imaging, illustration, flat-bed and slide scanning, Powerpoint presentations, and disk and Web-based interactive authoring. We also design and assist in the creation of Web-based classes.
Our computer lab provides LBCC staff with hardware and software needed to author CD-ROMs, edit digital photographs and prepare presentation materials. Tutorials and individual instruction are available during regular business hours, 8-4:30 Mon.-Fri.
Our Multimedia Technicians are available for consultation and can provide assistance with institutional and educational projects. Paul Tannahill 541-917-4647 is an instructional media developer specializing in assisting faculty and staff with online distance education projects using the Blackboard course management system and related resources. Kate Johnson 541-917-4656 is a graphic designer and web developer who can help with projects ranging from digital imaging to creating a database-driven web application. Project scheduling is handled by Alan Heywood, 541-917-4640.
