Compliance Activities

At LBCC there is an administrative commitment to formally address copyright issues. This can also be reviewed on an ongoing basis within the DEIT committee to develop its policies, guidelines, and informational activities. Responsibility for implementation and accountability for these activities is within the Information Services Division and particularly by the Media Services Department and its administrator. Several compliance activities have been mentioned earlier in this site and include:

Develop presentations and workshops
Develop and distribute print materials
Design an online tutorial
Update Copyright Information on Media Service's web resources page and design new web page devoted exclusively to copyright
Review practices
Revise the college copyright
Administrative Rule and/or add new section about Teach Act and Distance Learning (Policy Series No. 6060, Admin. Rules No. C321, C322, C323, C324, and C325)
Revise Media's 'Copyright Fair Use Indemnification Agreement' for production requests
Develop Developer/Client 'contract' which includes check-off acknowledgement of Copyright issues for online or ITV resources and content.
