The Math Department Computer Classroom/Lab in ST-217 serves as both a classroom and an OPEN computer lab at different times of the day. As a student at LBCC, you may use this room for any of your school-related computer work, for studying, or for quiet group work. Check the schedule on the wall outside ST-217 to see when the lab is OPEN. When you are in the lab, these are the rules:

  • As you enter the room, please login at the Check-In PC and when you leave, please logout.
  • As you enter the room for a scheduled class, please leave all drinks and food items on the shelf by the door and as you leave please pick up your drinks and food items.
    During open lab periods, drinks and food items are allowed at the tables in the middle of the room. Please clean up after yourself in order to allow this privilege to continue in effect.
  • When you have finished your computer work, exit your application. The desktop will then be ready for the next user.
  • If your computer malfunctions in any way, please notify the staff on duty. Do not reset the computer.
  • Please do not turn computers on or off.
  • Please do not change any hardware or software settings.
  • Please do not modify the desktop icons or wallpaper.
  • Please do not install or download any software onto our computers.
  • Please do not upgrade plugins or other software on our computers.
  • No instant messaging of any kind is allowed.
  • No computer games or Internet chat are allowed.
  • No cell phones are allowed.
  • Minimize waste:
    • Reduce: Preview your document before printing.
    • Reuse: Put blank printer paper into the DeskJet printer.
    • Recycle: Put used paper in the recycle bag. Put pop cans and glass and plastic bottles in the recycle box.
