Technical Skills Assessment

Purpose

Oregon's Office of Community College and Workforce Development (OCCWD) is now requiring all Career Technical programs to provide information on which students have reached the point in their programs where they have had their overall technical skills assessed.

Students' assessment results will not be compared to any other program's results at LBCC or elsewhere. This documentation is to meet Oregon's accountability requirements to Federal funding sources as well as other growing external and internal accountability factors.

Method (for insructors)

  • By June 4th, 2012, using the form available through the link below, you will need to indicate which students were assessed and whether those students "met" or "did not meet" the assessment standards.
  • Please enter any testing done in 2011-12 as well as any newly available data for any prior years.
  • Please enter a record for each assessment. You can have as many testing records for a student as you need.
    • For example, if a student "did not meet" for a particular assessment but then retested and "met" later on, please make a new entry for this second test. Do not correct the old record.
  • If you do need to correct an actual data entry mistake, please either email Justene.Malosh@linnbenton.edu or enter the corrected information into the form and put CORRECTION in the "Additional Comments" box.
