Open-Ended Responses from the Student Survey

Most helpful thing in their transition to LBCC: Support from advisors, counselors, the Learning Center, the library, and the Financial Aid office.
Most wanted improvement for that transition: Reforms in the Financial Aid office (better hours, access to information, staff attitude, etc.).

Open-Ended Responses from the Faculty/Staff Survey

Best part of how LBCC conduits the first year of college: Well-designed orientations and Welcome Day AND Accessibility of Student Services staff as well as faculty in general.
Most wanted improvements for the first year: Some sort of standard/mandatory first-year experience (or at least a general vision) AND More advisors/counselors (or more time for faculty to take on a greater role).
