Guidelines for Graduation Application Timelines and Ceremony ParticipationWhen to apply: You need to apply for graduation at least one term before completion. The graduation term you apply for should always be the actual term you are completing the requirements. For the 2010 academic year, the application deadline has changed to the end of the 4th week of the previous term (see chart at the bottom of this page).
Spring Commencement Ceremony Participation: You may participate in the ceremony at the end of your academic year of completion. Exceptions are Dental students who will be graduating at the end of the Summer may participate in the prior Spring ceremony. If you are within 12 credits of completion and will complete Summer term, you can participate in the Spring ceremony with a special request. Other exceptions are reviewed by the Registrar on a case by case basis.
Graduation Program Listing: Names of students who will complete by the end of Spring term will be printed in the graduation program. The exception is Dental students as noted in the above paragraph.
