Veteran's Small Business Management Program - 2012

Meets First Thursday Each Month: Begins March 1, 2012,  6:00-9:00pm

Based on the  highly successful SBDC Small Business Management Program, but has been tailored to meet the unique needs of Veteran Entrepreneurs. Consists of nine valuable classroom sessions and monthly personal advising meetings to work on your individual business needs.

MicroBusiness Program - Offered Fall, Winter, and Spring

Tuesdays: Jan 10 - March 20 OR April 3 - June 12, 2012  6:00-9:00pm
Benton Center (Winter Term) OR Albany (Spring Term)
ORIENTATION REQUIRED: March 21, 2012

The Small Business Development Center at Linn-Benton Community College  offers this program to individuals who are interested in starting a business. The eleven-week workshop includes one-on-one business advising and three classes held in the computer lab (Albany campus) with hands-on instruction.

Launch Your Business - 2012
Nine-month instructor-led peer support group meets once a month for timely help with typical challenges faced by first time entrepreneurs. Topics include: market niche, customer base, hiring and managing employees, using technology, etc. Class participants help set monthly topics. Also at no extra charge is two hours per month of confidential business advising!

Generally meets 3rd Monday of each month except holidays. Cost $299/partial scholarships available.  Call 541-917-4923 to register.

A Guided Tour of QuickBooks 2011 - Basic Instruction
Instructor: Anne White CPA and Certified QuickBooks Pro Advisor
Tuesday and Thursday, Jan 24 & 26, 2012, 2:00pm-4:00pm, LBCC Albany Campus Forum Building F-202

This four-hour course is for those who have no previous experience using a computer-based accounting system. In a computer lab setting, you will learn to open the QuickBooks application and maneuver through its various functions. This class prepares you for subsequent QuickBooks courses. QuickBooks Level 1 for 2011 -  Learn the Functions To Track Your Business

Five Consecutive Thursdays begins Feb 2, 2:00pm-4:00pm,

This ten-hour course is designed to provide you with the scope of capabilities available in Quickbooks 2011. You will be introduced to basic functions including chart of accounts, bank reconciliations, financial managment glossary, customizing & using reports, and much more. Basic 80-Hour Tax Preparer
