Phlebotomy

The Phlebotomy Program will result in skills necessary to work successfully as a phlebotomist. Skill areas covered are medical terminology, basic anatomy and physiology, customer service, medical law and ethics, phlebotomy (vacuum collections, arterial specimen collection, devices syringes, capillary skin punctures, butterfly needles, blood cultures and specimen collection on adults, children and infants,) job success skills, computer applications for the medical office, and CWE.This is a 16-week program held at the LBCC Lebanon Center and Lebanon Community Hospital. The cost is approximately $4,500. This includes all books, registrations, lab fees and instruction costs; excludes cost of criminal background check (approximately $95), immunizations and drug testing. The program is eligible for financial aid. This is a special-admission program indicating required prerequisites and limited class size.

Information Sessions: (Mandatory, you must attend one entire session)
Information Sessions will be held on February 7, 2012, 1-3 p.m., February 27, 2012, 10-12 p.m., and March 7, 2012, 1-3 p.m. at the Lebanon Community Hospital in conference room B/C.
Online Application dates: Online applications open April 10, 2012, 9 a.m.
Application Deadline for priority consideration: April 24, 2012, 5:p.m.
Deposit and Immunization Deadline: June 29, 2012.
Class Dates: July 30, 2012 - November 16, 2012.
2012-2013 FAFSA: Forms should be filed As soon as possible to ensure that aid eligibility is determined by the deposit date. FAFSA forms must list LBCC school code: 006938
