Provider Training

Child Care Providers ~ would you like to:
  • Upgrade your child care skills and knowledge?
  • Improve your business?
  • Fulfill your child care training hours?
  • Earn a CDA or other degree?
  • Take training to become a licensed child care provider?
Research shows that children in child care have better outcomes when their providers are well-trained. Family Connections offers at least 50 short-term trainings per year for the child care workforce in our commitment to increasing the quality of child care available to families. Classes are offered generally in the evenings or on Saturdays. Some class topics include:
  • setting up your space
  • "how to" business skills
  • health and safety
  • discipline and guidance
  • activities for different age groups
  • professional issues related to working with young children
