The Exercise, Health Education and Public Safety Division at Linn-Benton Community College provides a wide range of educational and training opportunities in criminal justice, emergency medical technician, exercise and sports science, and health promotion and education.

A highly trained and dedicated staff work to meet the ongoing needs of students in developing job skills, earning a certificate or associate degree and/or working on transfer courses toward a bachelor's degree.

Technical training programs prepare graduates for employment by emphasizing current concepts, developing proper work ethics and recognizing the value of continuing education. We provide students with a learning environment which prepares them to be flexible, creative, and lifelong learners.

Our college transfer courses are accepted by most four-year colleges and universities in the U.S.A. and overseas. The college is accredited and we have a dual admissions and enrollment program with Oregon State University.

Courses provided by the departments may, in most cases, be used for college transfer. In the Criminal Justice and the Health and Human Performance departments almost all courses are transferable. EMT is geared toward a degree or certificate from LBCC and courses may not transfer in some cases. Please check with an advisor if you have more questions.
