Orientation / Advising
Degree partnership students at LBCC and OSU are required to attend orientation at each institution the first term you attend. When you are admitted to the Degree Partnership Program, you will be notified of the orientation times and dates for the upcoming quarter. You should plan to attend orientation just prior to enrolling in each school. For dates and times contact:

- Students attending OSU for the first time - Fall Quarter
- START (New Student Orientation) is a summer event to acquaint first-time students and family members with OSU curricular programs and student activities as well as to provide them with advising and an opportunity to register for Fall Quarter.
- CONNECT is a one-week-event held the week before classes start Fall Quarter. It is a time for new students to become part of OSU's Community of Scholars. Your participation in Connect will play an instrumental role in your academic success.
- Students attending OSU for the first time - All Other Quarters: A new student orientation is offered all other quarters; call the number listed above for time and date.
- Students attending LBCC for the first time - All Quarters: New student orientation is offered each quarter; call the number listed above for time and date.
OSU academic advisors: If you have decided on a major, contact the head advisor in the appropriate academic college. If undecided, contact the head advisor for the University Exploratory Studies Program.
LBCC advising: If you have decided on a major, contact the advisor for the appropriate academic department (advisors are listed in the back of the quarterly Schedule of Classes). Undecided majors should contact the Career and Counseling Center in Takena Hall 101 or call (541) 917-4780.
