Appointment Tips:
When coming in for an appointment for: TUI, Trade Act, Financial Aid Success Plan (Undecided, Associate of General Studies, and AAOT-Undecided only) and Financial Aid Petition to Extend (Associate of General Studies only), please be sure to bring the correct forms you need the counselor to fill out, along with a copy of your unofficial transcripts if you previously attended another college, if you have been at LBCC all along, the counselor can look up your transcripts.
Appointments
It is preferred that counseling sessions be arranged through an appointment. If your concerns are of a personal matter, please call our office at (541) 917-4780 to schedule an appointment.
Drop-ins (offered the first few days of the term for Undecided, Associate of General Studies, and AAOT-Undecided students only)
The Counselors try to offer drop-in times for students during the first and last week of the term. Drop-in visits are ideal for 10-15 minute questions and needs. If your visit is going to require more than 15 minutes, please contact the office for an appointment.

Availability of Service
Our office’s personal counseling services are limited. We do want to assist our students to the best of our abilities, but in some cases referrals may be necessary. If there is an emergency situation and counselors are unavailable to assist students, helpful resources that may be of assistance can be found on our Community Resources webpage.
Confidentiality
Counselors are under professional standards that prohibit the disclosure of any information that students tell them during a counseling session, except by a release from the student or under circumstances required by Oregon law. Exclusions include: harm to self or others; abuse of a minor, elder, or disabled person; court orders; or professional consultation. Counselors will review this with you.
