Earn College Credit While Still in High School

College Now:

  • Provides high school students with the opportunity to complete both a high school course and a college course simultaneously and receive credit from both the high school and LBCC.
  • Courses are taught at the student's high school by an LBCC-approved high school teacher.
  • Courses are available to qualifying students.

Types of College Now Courses:

  • Transfer - courses that provide credit towards a bachelor's degree in areas such as history, literature, math or science.
  • Career Technical Education (CTE) - courses within programs of study that provide credit towards one of the Associate of Applied Science programs such as early childhood education, computer applications or automotive technology.
  • College Now courses may or may not be eligible for transfer to four-year institutions depending on the school but most colleges do accept LBCC transfer credit. Transfer acceptability is at the discretion of the receiving institution.
