Closure Information

Classes are not held if the college is closed due to bad weather, hazardous driving conditions or other emergency situations. College officials notify local radio stations and Eugene-area TV stations via the FlashAlert system by 6 a.m. for daytime closures or by 3 p.m. for evening closures. Closures for evening and weekend classes and other activities follow this same schedule.

Announcements are available on the LBCC switchboard, 541-917-4999, and on the college Web site: www.linnbenton.edu via the “closure info” link at the bottom of the News and Events box. Announcements are also posted on the college Facebook page and Twitter feed. If no closure announcement has been posted, the college is operating as usual.

Self-register your home or office email and/or cell phone text message addresses and receive emergency closure information from LBCC via FlashAlert. You may list up to five email and/or text message addresses. Subscribe for this service at http://www.flashalert.net/news.html?id=1013

Once per year, you will receive an email at the primary address asking if you wish to continue your subscription. The college will continue to notify the media of closures, post any closure notices to our homepage and activate the calling trees for staff.
