Offers a Peace Studies academic program with study-abroad and internship opportunities. For those who wish to make the issues of peace and war central to their university work, major and minor concentrations allow students to become involved more deeply in this field of study. The concentration can begin in the Freshman year and continue through the senior seminar, including study-abroad courses. The core courses deal with both positive and negative approaches to peace, i.e., the problems of war prevention and conflict resolution, and the creation of social justice and human rights by peaceful means.

An interdiciplinary program devoted to research and teaching on problems of war and peace, arms control and disarmament, and instances of collective violence. Students, staff and members of the community are welcomed to get involved. The program awards fellowships (covering tuition, a stipend, and health insurance); it does not offer academic credit or undergraduate major. Courses sponsored by the program are listed within academic departments, which assign credit for them. There is a graduate minor field in Peace Studies and Peace Science.
