The Ceramics program at the Benton Center offers you an opportunity to learn a wide range of clay skills and techniques with different methods of firing.

Benton Center Pottery Sale
Friday, June 5 - 3:30-5:30 pm
North patio area

Join us on the north patio outside the ceramics studio for out semi-annual pottery sale and show. We will offer high fire, salt glaze, and wood fire pieces for sale. You will find both functional and one-of-a kind art pieces at affordable prices. All high fire pieces are oven, microwave and dishwasher safe. A portion of the sales is used to purchase and repair studio equipment.

Facility
The studio is state-of-the-art and includes...

  • two stoneware kilns
  • a raku area
  • two electric kilns for bisque
  • a salt kiln
  • motorized and kick wheels

Materials
Clay can be purchased on site at the Benton Center Bookstore. Purchase a voucher at the bookstore window and present it to your instructor to retrieve your clay.  Re-cycled clay can be purchased at the BC Registration counter.

How to Use the Studio

  • Sign up for a class.
  • If you are signed up for a class, you may use the studio as a drop-in student during open hours on a space-available basis.
