Student Life
Student Lounge
The perfect place for group study or just a comfy place to read and enjoy coffee. That's the student lounge. Located in front of the Registration Office and the Bookstore, with plenty of seating and tables, the lounge serves as the student hub. Nearby are magazine racks, vending machines, a water fountain, a payphone and Community Events and Student Notices bulletin boards.
The lounge also can be rented for community events. Check at the Registration Office counter for more information.
The BC Grind
Need that caffeinated jolt before class? Stop at the BC Grind. For frequent coffee drinkers pick up a punch card, if you buy 12 coffee drinks you get one free. The BC Grind also sells lunch items and snacks, bottled juices and water, and blended drinks and smoothies. Check out this link for more information on the Benton Center Bookstore. Books sold are for Benton center classes only.
Remember that Book Buy Back is done here at the Benton Center, in addition to the Albany campus, at the end of each term.
Acoustic Showcase
Once a month the lounge is host to the Acoustic Showcase event, where local talents show off their acoustic skill. Check for flyers around the center and Corvallis for the next performance.
Commuter Pick up a copy of the Commuter, LBCC's weekly student run newspaper, while you're here. The drop site is located between the Bookstore and Registration Office. You can also check the Commuter online for recent issues.
Games
Indoor and outdoor games are available for checkout from the Registration Office. Ask at the counter if you want to play:

Gallery Space
There are two gallery display cases featuring the work of Benton Center instructors and their students. The displays change once or twice a term. Check for flyers around the center for the current instillation. The south hall display case is wall mounted and located on the south side of the center. The north entrance display case is a glass-enclosed space located on the plinth in front of the fitness center.
Upstairs, around the corner from the Learning & Career Center, is a display area for student projects and student activities. Instructors can reserve two or three bulletin boards for displaying student work. Ask your instructor about it!
Student Notices
A bulletin board located in the student lounge is reserved for student announcements such as items for sale and ride shares. Check at the Registration Office counter for posting guidelines.
Student Group Meeting Space
LBCC affiliated student groups can use the Benton Center for meetings and events at no charge. Contact the Administration Office for details.
Student Government Representation
The Associated Student Government and Student Programming Board represent and serve all LBCC students at the Albany Campus, Benton Center, Lebanon Center and Sweet Home Center. Student issues relating to the centers fall under the jurisdiction of the Associated Student Government Vice-President.
The Student Programming Board and Associated Student Government sponsor events throughout the academic year. See Student Life & Leadership for more information.
