Taking LBCC Classes For High School Credit - Alternative Learning Opportunities
High School students may take LBCC classes and use the credit for both college and high school (with their high school counselor's permission). Students choosing to take classes for high school credit must file an Underage Enrollment Form. In many cases a computerized placement test (CPT) is also required.
Some other reasons high school age students may be interested in taking college courses:
- Start their college career early
- Explore subjects that are not available in high school
- Take courses they don't have time to take while in high school, or
- Personal enrichment, (improve study skills, Italian cooking, yoga, etc.)
