President's Office

President Greg Hamann with students

It’s not by accident that Linn-Benton Community College’s middle name is “Community.” Formed by the Linn and Benton communities in 1966 and governed by a community-elected Board since that time, LBCC continues to build on our commitment to serve this community we love. Our purpose – to “help build communities that are better places to live and to work,” is not so much a statement of mission as a description of our passion.

Through a strong foundation of quality education and training programs at our Albany campus, at the Benton, Lebanon and Sweet Home centers, and at off-site locations throughout our region, we constantly strive to be respond to the diverse needs of our community by providing universal access to critical education and training pathways that make it possible for all of us to benefit from and contribute to the economic and cultural vitality of the community of which we all are a part.

- Greg Hamann, LBCC President
