Tutoring

Need A Tutor?
LBCC offers FREE one to one tutoring for basic skills students who need help improving their reading, writing, spelling, and math. Trained volunteer tutors work with students in the community at a time and place convenient to the student.

Tutoring is also available for students learning English for the first time who want to practice conversation skills, improve their reading and writing, or learn more about American culture.

Tutoring may be available during class time -- check with the instructor for details.

Be A Tutor!
FREE tutor training is offered twice a year during the regular school year for interested volunteers, usually in October and February. The training is on two Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Check the LBCC Schedule of Classes for dates, or call or email Penny Steele -- contact information is below. Volunteers work with students in the community at a time and place convenient to both, or as classroom aides in GED, basic skills, or ESOL classes.

For information about tutoring, contact the Literacy Coordinator, Penny Steele at 541-917-4713, or steelep@linnbenton.edu.
